Dave Barrans

Dave is a member of the British Bouldering Team, and trains regularly at MCC. He is also one of our routesetters. Dave’s recent achievements include placing 13th (1st placed Brit) at the IFSC European Boulder Championship held in Birmingham in March 2007, and placing 7th at the International Swiss Master Outdoor Games in June 2007. Dave climbs regularly both indoors and outdoors, and has an impressive list of ascents under his belt.

Liam Doyle

Liam Doyle is relatively new to climbing, but has made remarkable progress in the short time that he has been training. He took second place at the Junior British Bouldering Championships in July 2007 after only a year of climbing. Liam is keen to take part in more competitions, and has great potential for the future.

Rachel Deakin

Rachel has been climbing at MCC for some time, and is a regular participant in competitions at local and national levels including the recent Junior British Bouldering Championships. She is an all-rounder, consistently improving both her bouldering and lead climbing.
